After some lengthy development, Flightnav.co.uk has finally released an IPhone Web Application. Although we have tried to get on the developers list for IPhone applications through Apple, we have been unable to do this due to the large waiting list.
We are still BETA testing the application, but welcome everyone to try it and send in suggested improvements, problems, or just comments so we can make this an even more useable application.

The authors of SkyAngel (the superb new flight planning software tool) are now preloading the FlightNav airfield database as part of the SkyAngel database, so doing away with the need to load the data each time the application starts.
At the moment the software is still in Beta development and can be downloaded and tried for free at http://fly.styli.sh/download.aspx
The developers are hoping to bring the finished version to market before Christmas.

In early 2010 British adventurer Martin Bromage will embark on an epic solo, unsupported microlight journey from London to Sydney This challenging feat of aviation endurance will see Martin Bromage pass through 18 different countries.
Flying over incredibly hostile terrain with daunting sea crossings and testing meteorological conditions. At the same time raising money for the charity Help the Heroes.
18 different countries 2700 miles of desert - 2000 miles of water - 500 miles of jungle Martin Bromage's epic flight will cover a distance of 21,730Km (11,733Nautical Miles).

Fife Flying Club - Request for Help.
Fife Council has a planning permission request for 5 wind farms which will seriously affect the viability of operations at Fife Airport.
We would encourage anyone interested to visit the web page below and note their objection. Alternatively they can write in hard copy to the council. As fellow aviators it is crucial that any airfield is protected, regardless of how often you may visit that airfield.
Airfields are disappearing too fast in this country!
